Volunteer Ambulance Service

The squad runs and maintains its own ambulance and has since 1993. Our ambulance is a 2000 Ford FX350 and is fully stock and equipped to run calls at any time. Our ambulance functions as a back up to our local EMS service when they are short staffed or low on trucks, our ambulance is also used for special events, public events, and emergencies when called up on. Any time our truck is called up on, it is ready to go any and every where needed. Our truck is staffed by several expertly trained, state licensed paramedics, advanced emergency medical technicians , emergency medical technicians, and first responders. Our staff is some of the best in their field and all of them volunteer their time to make sure our patients are always taken care of. One bonus of our rescue ambulance is it completely free of charge. Part of our commitment to our community is we are ready and willing at any time to take care of our patients in their time of need, regardless of their ability to pay and with out the added headache of having to worry about paying a bill afterward. All of this is possible because of the generous donations we receive.
First Response

On top of our ambulance service we are equipped with numerous paramedics, advanced emergency medical technicians, emergency medical technicians, and first responders who are ready to answer the call whenever called. Our first responders often get called to falls, sickness/illness, traumatic injuries, wrecks, searches, rescues, as well as many other calls. Many of our first responders live in or around the area we cover and are able to be there within minutes, when seconds matter. Our first responders supplement our local EMS crews by being able to arrive on scene quickly, assess and relay information to EMS crews, and to begin stabilizing the patient while EMS crews are enroute.
Mass Casualty Incident (MCI)

A Mass Casualty Incident (MCI) is what happens when the number of patients overwhelms the ability of the local EMS service. We at HARS have a team and equipment in place in case of such an incident. We can be mobilized to treat patients and support our local EMS service at a moments notice.
