Humboldt Area Rescue Squad is a 501c3 Nonprofit organization that was founded in 1989. As an emergency service to supplement our fire departments and emergency medical service. At the is inception it was geared toward search and rescue as well as providing supplemental support to our other emergency service agencies. The squad had just a few members and would regularly respond to calls by following ambulances or the trail of water left by the fire engines to find the emergency. Over the years Humboldt Area Rescue Squad has more highly trained members to support all of the squads added capabilities. All of our members are volunteer and volunteer their time and energy to help their friends neighbors, and community when ever the call goes out, most of the time at a moments notice.
